Scholarship Programs

1) Eligibility: Applicants must be at least eighteen (18) years of age as of the date of application and at the time the scholarship award is granted.

2) Use of Scholarship Funds: Scholarship funds must be applied exclusively for the purpose specified in the scholarship description. The scholarship is non-transferable, and may not be deferred, assigned, or used for any purpose other than as expressly authorized by the awarding organization, unless prior written approval is obtained.

3) Tribal Preference: Preference will be given to applicants who are members of one of the eleven (11) Tribes traditionally affiliated with the Grand Canyon. Applicants may be required to provide documentation or self-certification of tribal affiliation. The awarding organization reserves the right to verify eligibility in accordance with applicable laws and policies.

4) Compliance with Program Requirements: Scholarship recipients shall comply with all program rules, regulations, policies, and safety requirements established by the sponsoring organization. Failure to comply may result in revocation of the award.

5) Selection Process and Award Notification: All scholarship awards are subject to the discretion of the selection committee. Decisions of the committee are final and not subject to appeal. Receipt of an award is contingent upon verification of eligibility and acceptance of the terms herein.

6) Right to Modify or Terminate: The sponsoring organization reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the scholarship program at any time, including changes to eligibility criteria, award amounts, or terms of use, as deemed necessary in its sole discretion.

7) Misrepresentation or Fraud: Any falsification, misrepresentation, or omission of material facts in the application or supporting documentation shall constitute grounds for disqualification, termination, or recovery of awarded funds.

8) Acceptance of Terms: By submitting an application, the applicant acknowledges and agrees to be bound by these Conditions of Scholarship Award and any additional program rules or guidelines established by the awarding organization.
